As we step into 2022 and head towards the completion of our seventh year at Jesus Culture Sacramento and first year at Jesus Culture San Diego, we are calling our Church family to a 21-day fast beginning Sunday, January 2 through Sunday, January 23 to pray in the harvest for this upcoming year.
We will be consecrating our new building with 24 hours of prayer and worship beginning Friday January 7 at 6:30pm and ending Saturday January 8 at 6:30pm. We encourage you to join us during this time.
We have compiled a list of resources below from different friends and ministries that we believe in to help you prepare for this fasting and prayer season. Please take some time to plan and pray into the specific kind of fast God would have you do and join us as we seek God together as a Church family.

We will be praying and worshiping in our new Sacramento building for 24 hours straight. Join us as we consecrate the new space to the Lord and ask Him to fill this house.
The fast you choose should present a level of challenge, but it's important to know your body, your options, and most importantly, to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do. Fasting requires reasonable precautions. Please consult your physician prior to beginning your fast, especially if you have any health concerns, you are taking any medication, have a chronic condition, or are pregnant or nursing. Here are some types of fasts you can consider:
You drink only liquids, typically water with light juices as an option.
You remove certain elements from your diet. One example is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweets, and bread from your diet and consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.
This involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such as 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, or from sunup to sundown.
This is a good option if you do not have much experience fasting food, have health issues that prevent you from fasting food, or if you wish to refocus certain areas of your life that are out of balance. For example, you can choose to stop using social media for the duration of the fast.
